Orari Gorge Station / Blue Mountain Station Tour

Full Day Tour

Depart Geraldine at 9:00am and travel to Orari Gorge Station.

We will drive through the station, climbing rapidly up the hill to over 600meters to reach an alpine plateau with spectacular views of the Canterbury Plains where we will enjoy a cup of tea in the serenity of the surrounding tussock covered hills.

This tour takes in some lovely scenery as we move quietly along the tracks taking in views of native bush, birds and all kinds of interesting surroundings along the way.

'Orari Gorge Station' is still farmed today by the descendants of the original settlers from the mid 1860s and we will visit the orginal homestead buildings; some of the oldest surviving buildings in New Zealand.
